Margaret Carter
Margaret commenced her career in retail: working for a large retail, manufacturing and wholesale, global business. After an extremely successful decade, managing teams upwards of 150, she decided on a career change and returned to her first passion, teaching.
After completing an English Literature/Language Honours Degree through the Open University, whilst simultaneously raising twin daughters, she graduated in Glasgow in 2007.
She has worked as an English teacher at schools throughout Ayrshire and held several Education Leadership posts: the most recent as Faculty Leader of English and Drama at a local Academy.
Having studied coaching for many years, especially around the area of Emotional Intelligence, and having practiced it widely in her leadership roles, Margaret decided to embark on a career as a business coach and qualified as an Emotional Intelligence Practitioner with Genos International.
Since joining Redworth Coaching, she has been extremely busy, coaching our many clients through Genos assessments and LMI Leadership programmes.
Away from work, she keeps herself fit by running three times a week along with regular Yoga practice. An avid reader, she always has a book on the go and enjoys spending quality time with friends and family.
Attention to detail is one of Margaret’s many strengths. Well studied and articulate are also part of her armour. She is a credit to our business, and we are very fortunate to have her on board.
